Optimus Energy is proud to announce that Dimitris Chatzigiannis, Applied R&D Manager at HERON and Optimus Energy, together with our CEO, Stella Zacharia, were invited to participate in the “Jobs and Energy in Coal Transition” Strategy Workshop, organized in the framework of the European Investment Bank’s (EIB) support to the Bulgarian Ministry of Energy.
As part of the event, Dimitris Chatzigiannis delivered a presentation titled “Renewable Assets Increased Flexibility, Demand Response, and Battery Storage Optimisation.” His intervention highlighted the critical role of flexible assets in ensuring grid stability, the importance of demand response in balancing supply and demand, and the optimization of battery storage systems as a cornerstone for the energy transition.
Through this contribution, he provided valuable insights into how these technologies can pave the way toward a more sustainable, reliable, and future-proof energy system in Southeast Europe.
The participation of Optimus Energy in this high-level workshop underscores our commitment to supporting the coal-to-clean transition and to advancing innovative solutions that enable the integration of renewables, demand-side flexibility, and energy storage.
At Optimus Energy, we remain dedicated to driving the renewable energy transition, working alongside partners, institutions, and policymakers to shape a cleaner and more resilient energy future.
