Optimus Energy participated at Career Day 2025 organized by IEEE AUTH Student Branch, held on November 24 & 25 at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The event was an excellent opportunity for direct interaction with the new generation of engineers and scientists who will shape the future of the energy transition.
Optimus Energy team members who are themselves engineering graduates of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, adding a special depth to the discussions with students. They shared their journey from university life to the everchanging energy sector, offering practical advice and real insights into the opportunities and demands of the field in Greece.
Throughout the two-day event, we had the chance to speak with students and young professionals about developments in the energy market, the operational requirements of real-time energy operations, and the importance of flexibility management. We also presented how modern technologies, such as automated market participation and advanced analytics, are transforming the way energy companies operate today. From production to consumption, the energy system now functions as a single, digitally interconnected chain, where electricity markets and flexibility mechanisms create the necessary real-time bridges across the system.
